My Favorite Book

Black and White: The Story of Harriet Harshaw and ‘Squire’ James Alfred Dula Paperback – January 1, 2013
by Ed.S. Leslie Dula McKesson  The Famous Dula Town in North Carolina
This book is about my Great Great Grandmother who was a Slave and the life of everyone around her including many other Dulas. Fascinating read. We think she was born in 1834 but they never really kept records of when Black people were born at that time. James Alfred Dula was a Slave Master and owner of the Plantation were they lived. I am a Dula and very proud.
